keep metals looking new and prevent tarnishing

-Store jewelry in the box provided or a jewelry box to prevent tarnishing
-Remove when working out or in a pool
-Avoid direct contact with perfume or lotions
-When tarnished, use the polishing cloth provided or other silver polishing cloth to gently rub the silver to bring back the shine
-To remove dirt, use dish soap and water to gently rub away the dirt. If Ethiopian opal, see below

prevent dullness or loss of flash in gemstones
-Ethiopian opals are hydrophane which means when they come into contact with water, they absorb it and become translucent until they dry back out. If you have a piece of jewelry with Ethiopian opal, keep away from water. Remove these pieces while washing hands, shower, or swim
-Be careful not to scratch or crack stones, some are very soft (opal, turquoise, etc.) and might break with a lot of pressure
-To remove dirt, use dish soap and water to gently rub away the dirt, unless Ethiopian opal.
-Avoid contact with lotions
